Voting is an important part of our democracy, and a postal vote allows you to cast your vote conveniently from home if you are unable to attend a polling station on election day.
You may wish to vote by post if you:
- Are away from home on polling day.
- Have work, study or family commitments.
- Have a disability or health condition that makes attending a polling station difficult.
- Simply prefer the convenience of voting by post.

Important Information
- Postal vote applications must be submitted before the official deadline for each election.
- Your completed postal ballot must be returned by the deadline stated in your postal voting pack.
- Postal voters do not need to present photo ID, as voting takes place using the ballot papers provided by post.
