Respect Pledge for local elections

Today (3 March 2018) the Conservative Party Chairman Brandon Lewis unveiled the Party’s Respect Pledge. The pledge will apply to all Conservative candidates standing in the local elections this year, ensuring they behave responsibly throughout the election.

Concerns Over Kilwinning Medical Practice

Local MSP Jamie Greene has raised concern over changes being made to Kilwinning Medical Practice that will be in place for at least twelve months. He was made aware of concerns after receiving a letter from his local practice.

Jamie Greene MSP spoke of his astonishment at the response he got on Facebook when he asked residents to send in examples of potholes in the local area.

Within two weeks the post had received over hundreds of comments and had been seen by over 50,000 people online.

Jamie Greene MSP Meets Students from Auchenharvie Academy

Jamie met students from Auchenharvie Academy in the Scottish Parliament to talk about the roles of MSPs and for a question and answer session.

He was joined by MSPs Ruth Maguire (Cunninghame South) and Ross Greer (West Scotland Region).

Performing Poorly for Ultrafast Broadband

New figures show that North Ayrshire is the 17th worst local authority for ultrafast broadband speeds in Scotland, with just 19.1% of premises having access to these speeds, compared to 72.4 per cent for neighbouring Inverclyde.
